Kalman Commons
A weekly, alcohol-free business and cultural chapter network across Australia — built on friendship, ethical commerce, local dialogue, and the arts. We begin in New South Wales, organised by electorate and suburb, and grow chapter by chapter into other states and, in time, other jurisdictions.
What we are
A community of recurring, autonomous gatherings where people build trust, exchange honest introductions, discuss ethical commerce, and share local cultural life. Membership is free to join. First visits are free or highly subsidised. Cigars are an optional, lawful, adult-only ritual — never the point, never promoted, and never sold by Kalman.
Who gathers
Four constituencies, one table
Each gathering brings together people who would rarely otherwise share a table, and asks them to meet as equals.
Preapproved venues
Provide lawful, respectful, alcohol-free gathering spaces and, where applicable, lawful adult-only outdoor areas.
Artists & cultural contributors
Bring literature, music, song, instruments, visual art, and human depth — part of the community, not decoration.
Licensed cigar vendors
Where lawful and venue-approved, licensed retailers supply directly to adults, based only on aggregate demand — no advertising, no coercion.

Arrive & introduce
Arrival, introductions, and opening remarks. No pressure, no pitch.
Business round
A short introduction round and a featured dialogue topic on ethical commerce.

A literature, music, or cultural contribution to support — not dominate — the conversation.
Open table & close
Open introductions and, only where lawful and relevant, a private aggregate demand note. Then close.

No alcohol
Gatherings are alcohol-free. Networking is built on dialogue, not drinking.
25+ with age verification
Members must be civil adults aged 25 and above, with age verification at intake.
No tobacco promotion
Cigars are optional and never promoted. Kalman does not sell or advertise tobacco. No brands, no prices, no marketing.
Civility & respect
Honesty, transparency, and good-faith collaboration are the assumed experience, not the exception.

Kalman Commons is convened by Kalman | Systems⁺ as founding steward — providing governance, the operating model, privacy-preserving systems, and facilitation. The community strengthens Kalman Systems through trust and ethical relationships, without turning gatherings into sales. Participation is protected before profit.
