We prefer
RSLs, community clubs, bowling and golf clubs, modest pubs with compliant outdoor areas, private courtyards, function terraces, business parks with outdoor space, and cultural or community venues with appropriate permissions.
Venues
The best venues are not premium cigar lounges. We look for calm, respectful, alcohol-free spaces where a weekly business and cultural gathering can become part of local life. Nothing is a surprise: recurring gatherings, agendas, artists, and any cigar activity are discussed and approved beforehand.
What we seek
RSLs, community clubs, bowling and golf clubs, modest pubs with compliant outdoor areas, private courtyards, function terraces, business parks with outdoor space, and cultural or community venues with appropriate permissions.
Venues that require attendees to buy cigars, inflate cigar prices, push alcohol packages, demand large minimum spends, treat cigars as the event's identity, or make non-smokers feel secondary.
Venue approval
Before a chapter opens, we confirm the practical and lawful basis for the gathering with the venue.
That it can host a recurring, alcohol-free business and cultural gathering.
Whether it has a lawful designated outdoor area, and whether optional adult-only cigar use is permitted there.
That the relevant area is away from seated dining and entrances as required by local law, and any food restrictions are observed.
Whether artists, speakers, or acoustic performances are allowed, and whether amplification needs approval.
Whether a licensed retailer may supply directly, or whether any cigar supply must occur offsite.
Expected capacity, suitable days, and noise constraints.
Venue intake
Tell us about your space. We will follow up to discuss a recurring, respectful, alcohol-free gathering and confirm the approval points above.
